Job Summary
Database Architect for a client project, focusing on assessing the current database system, designing data models, and defining migration strategies. Responsible for creating current and target database architectures, migration roadmaps, and estimates timelines; ensuring data security and regulatory compliance; evaluating architecture to support high-availability web applications; and communicating technical needs and strategy to executives. Requires 8+ years of experience with at least 2 years in a data-architecture role, expertise in data migration from MS Access to SQL via SSMA, and a certified data-architect credential. Strong skills in data modeling, ETL, software network design, presentation, and communication are essential.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in data architecture or data management roles
- Minimum 2 years prior experience as a data architect or in a data management role
- Certified Data Architect
- Extensive experience with data migration from MS Access to SQL using SQL Server Migration Assistant (SSMA)
- Experience with software network design and implementation
