Yes, Sprout is legit. Real product, real downloads on the App Store, real users posting reviews. Not a scam.

The interesting question is what Sprout actually does and whether it fits how you want to job-hunt. Here's what we found.

What Sprout actually does

Sprout is an AI-powered job-search app. You build a profile, the app surfaces matching roles in a feed, and you tap to view and apply. Mobile-friendly, clean UX.

The discovery side is solid — the AI matching surfaces roles you might not have found on a generic job board. The apply side is more of an assist than a full agent: Sprout helps you tailor and submit, but the experience is closer to "AI-assisted apply" than "AI-fully-applies."

What we liked

  • Clean discovery UX. The feed-based interface is familiar and easy to use.
  • AI matching is decent. Roles surfaced tend to be a reasonable fit for stated preferences.
  • Mobile-friendly. Works well on phones.
  • Free tier is functional. You can do real work without paying.

What we didn't

  • Apply flow is not full auto-apply. Sprout helps you apply but doesn't fully submit on your behalf the way agent-driven tools do.
  • No swipe interaction. If you've tried swipe-based discovery, the feed feels slower.
  • Inventory size isn't published. Hard to compare apples-to-apples on database breadth.
  • Free tier has limits on the apply side. The tailoring help and apply features are gated.

Pricing (as of May 2026)

Sprout's public pricing page lists Basic at $19.99, Pro at $39.99, and Ultra at $79.99, with weekly/monthly application caps shown on the page. The page also says every plan includes end-to-end apply, tailored cover letters, resume tailoring, application tracking, and mobile/web access.

Real user signal

  • App Store — Generally positive. Users like the discovery and find roles they wouldn't have on traditional boards.
  • Reddit — Some users wanted deeper auto-apply; others were happy with the assist model.

Should you use Sprout?

  • You want a real free tier with the AI agent included (40 swipes/day, indefinitely).
  • You want the largest jobs database in the category (5M+ open roles).
