Job Summary
Lead dynamic and safe Zumba® classes for members of varying fitness levels while creating a positive, inclusive, and motivating environment. Arrive prepared with structured class plans and appropriate music, ensuring proper use of equipment and adherence to safety guidelines. Provide modifications and support to accommodate different abilities, build strong relationships with members, and encourage ongoing participation. Represent the YMCA's mission and values in all interactions. This part-time role offers a competitive hourly rate of $20.00–$23.00, a free individual membership, and household discounts at the Speer YMCA in St. Petersburg, FL.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Current Zumba® Instructor Certification required
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to connect with and engage diverse populations
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport and inspire others
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must pass a 10-panel drug screen
- Must successfully complete a Level 2 background check*
- Level 2 background clearance through the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF)
