Job Summary
Zscaler Engineer at Summit Technologies Inc. in Washington, DC hybrid role supporting a Federal client. The role focuses on deploying, configuring, and managing Zscaler services (ZIA, ZPA, ZDX) within a Microsoft-based environment, integrating security solutions with Azure AD/Conditional Access/Intune and Defender, performing SAML integrations, policy and performance monitoring, health checks, and documentation. The candidate will troubleshoot connectivity, authentication, and application access issues, enforce security policies, respond to ServiceNow tickets, and automate routine tasks with PowerShell/Python/Bash while collaborating with Engineering, Operations, and Compliance to strengthen security posture. Must be eligible for a Public Trust clearance and hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience). The role requires hybrid work in Washington, DC.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of cybersecurity experience
- 2+ years hands-on experience administering Zscaler services (ZIA, ZPA, ZDX) including policy management, SAML integration, and performance monitoring
- Experience with EDR, DLP, secure web gateway, email security, IDPS, firewalls, SIEM, and identity protection solutions
- Windows or Linux system administration
- Scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or a related field (or 8+ years of equivalent experience)
- Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Public Trust clearance
