Job Summary
The Zone Team Leader (ZTL) provides guidance and direction for the operation of a specific zone within the retail sales floor. Responsibilities include executing established merchandising procedures, overseeing inventory processes, ensuring compliance with operational standards, and supervising associates in the assigned zone. The ZTL is accountable for customer service standards, scheduling for effective merchandise processing, and communicating company directives to team members. Key qualifications include a high school diploma, at least two years of retail supervisory experience, and strong interpersonal skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of two years’ retail experience in a supervisory role within a mid-size to large retail or service-oriented business
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Ability to exercise sound judgment
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks and activities and work within strict timeframes and deadlines
- Knowledge of industry terms and processes
- Ability to effectively communicate information and delegate tasks
- Outstanding interpersonal and listening skills
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 35 pounds
