Job Summary
Zone Specialist (Full Time) assists customers and helps maintain the store appearance in the assigned store zone, handling customer service, merchandising, and store maintenance. Responsibilities include merchandising within the zone, assisting with training new Zone Specialists, answering questions about promotions and advertisements, supporting Ollie’s Army and other donation programs, maintaining a neat and organized zone, assisting with pricing items and recovering the store, communicating customer needs to Team Leaders, maintaining overall store cleanliness, and performing additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of six months’ retail experience in a mid-size to large retail service-oriented business preferred
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to exercise sound judgment
- Ability to preserve confidentiality of information
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks and activities and work within strict timeframes and deadlines
- Knowledge of industry terms and processes
- Outstanding interpersonal and listening skills
- Must have a positive attitude and the ability to interact well with customers and Associates
- Physical requirements: lift and carry up to 50 pounds; push and pull up to 35 pounds; stand for extended periods; bend and twist frequently; grip, reach, and pinch with arms and hands frequently; squat, kneel, balance, and climb ladders occasionally
