Zone Service Leader - Japan

Job Summary
Manage the overall financial and operational performance of the Zone, including revenue, operating profit, and growth targets. Own operational processes and service delivery within the region, managing key process indicators such as customer downtime, PM completion, first-time fix rates, and FE utilization. Cultivate a culture of integrity and transparency, ensuring robust field engineer coverage and contingency planning while upholding technical excellence and EHS compliance. Build relationships with internal stakeholders and commercial functions to enhance business performance and ensure proactive service planning. This role reports to the Equipment Service APAC GM and is located in Tokyo, Japan, requiring fluency in Japanese and the ability to travel across Japan and APAC regions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, or related field
- Strong leadership experience in Sales, Service or other customer facing roles
- Experience in technical and/or application support
- Proven ability to lead geographically dispersed teams in a matrixed, multicultural environment
- Strategic thinker with strong operational execution and data-driven decision-making skills
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership capabilities
- Strong commercial acumen with deal leadership experience
- Working knowledge and application of Danaher Business System (DBS) principles
- Fluent in Japanese
- Ability to travel across Japan / APAC Regions
