Job Summary
Conduct daily zip ride operations by fitting guests with harnesses and helmets, supervising personal protective equipment use, and ensuring all safety equipment is properly secured. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while checking materials frequently to report any equipment concerns. Model the Scout Oath and Law in all interactions and participate in specialized program training during the staff training period. Perform additional duties assigned by leadership and adhere to SBR staff handbook policies. Requires standing, walking, and hiking up to 9 hours daily with the ability to lift 75 pounds. Work hours are 45-55.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age: 18+
- Body weight between 50-250 as per the manufacture's requirement for participation
- Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)
- Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communication
- Ability to stand, walk, and hike up to 9 hours daily and ability to lift/move up to 75 pounds
- Complete the Annual Health and Medical Record, including height/weight guidelines
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred: Experience guiding/facilitating and managing others while 'at-height' (6'-180')
- High emotional intelligence (such as self/social awareness and team dynamics)
- Positive and cheerful attitude with a strong customer-service focus
- Adaptability in a fast-paced environment with ability to learn/develop hard and soft skills
- Ability to connect with individuals from diverse age groups, maturity, and backgrounds
