Job Summary
Clear and reset tables, keep water glasses full, deliver bread plates, and maintain the dining room to cleanliness standards while managing bread throughout the shift. Own your designated room by completing all tasks before moving on, follow the busser priority list, and document code reds and code greens. Work weekends and holidays on typical 8am-4pm or 4pm-10pm shifts, reporting directly to Front of House Managers. Maintain excellent relations with guests and staff, handle guest complaints using learned protocols, and participate in weekly huddles.
Required Qualifications
- Saturday availability is a must
- Candidates must be able to work a minimum of two shifts per week
- Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs
- Shoveling and salting outside during winter months (as needed)
- Must be able to balance and carry a tray with drinks and/or dishes
- Passionate about great food and great service
- Interest in learning about food, people, business
- Self-motivated, especially under pressure
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Able to effectively manage their emotions in the workplace
- Communicates effectively and efficiently
- Literate and likes to read
- Detail-oriented
- Can handle complexity and paradox
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- Has one to three years experience as a busser in a high-end service environment is a plus
- Has a reputation for excellent relations with guests and front and back of house staff
- Has worked effectively as part of a team
- Has successfully managed guest's dining experience in a fast-paced environment
