Job Summary
Line Cook at Zingerman’s Deli: prepares sandwiches to order, expediting accurately and efficiently, maintains clean and stocked stations, slices bread to order, and supports teammates to deliver consistent quality. Responsibilities include preparing food following recipes and standards, keeping stations stocked and running smoothly, communicating clearly with teammates and managers, handling a high volume of work for extended periods while maintaining quality, upholding food safety standards, and contributing ideas to improve kitchen systems. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, stand for an 8-hour shift, and have 1–2 years of professional kitchen experience with a long-term orientation (2+ years) and emphasis on teamwork, urgency, and reliability.
