Job Summary
Senior-level advisory role to lead the data classification, governance, and access-control posture within a Zero Trust Architecture for a federal agency. Translate ZTA mandates (OMB M-22-09, EO 14028, NIST SP 800-207, NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5) into recommended data classification, access control, and data governance frameworks; develop and mature ZT artifacts (Data pillar assessments, schemas, and policy documents) with TSA concurrence; provide advisory support for roadmaps and implementation plans; collaborate with cross-functional ZT pillar SMEs to ensure coherent policy integration; support data calls, audits, and compliance updates; hybrid work arrangement with occasional onsite in Springfield, VA, and related Arlington, VA locations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years IT cybersecurity experience
- Expert knowledge of NIST SP 800-207, NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5, FISMA, OMB M-22-09, EO 14028
- Experience leading ZT data governance/advisory assessments in federal environment
- Experience translating ZT mandates into data policy frameworks
- Experience with ZT-related IG CIGIE metrics or FISMA ZT compliance submissions
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Familiarity with AI-assisted analysis tools or prompt engineering
