Job Summary
Conduct secondary football coaching for varsity, junior varsation, or freshman teams, managing large groups of students and athletes while demonstrating extensive sport-specific knowledge. Lead substitutions and apply demonstrated leadership skills to guide teams at the competition level. Requires two years of documented sport-specific and age-level coaching experience, with college-level coaching potentially substituting for high school experience. Candidates must hold a Florida Instructional Certification or be eligible to obtain a Professional Athletic Coaching Certificate, including completion of sports-specific, sports medicine, and sports theory training along with a valid CPR card.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS from a regionally accredited program/university in FLDOE certificate subject area
- Florida Instructional Certification (any subject)
- Two (2) years documented sport specific and age level (Secondary) specific (Varsity vs. Freshman/JV) coaching experience
- Extensive knowledge of the sport at the competition level
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the management of large groups of students/athletes
- Sports Specific certification
- Sports Medicine certification
- Sports Theory certification
- Valid CPR card from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
Desired Qualifications
