Job Summary
Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job fairs and outreach, while facilitating onboarding, orientation, and offboarding. Resolve complex employee relations issues and progressive discipline with confidence, ensuring timely resolution and compliance with policies, processes, and legislation. Provide real-time advice and guidance on CLC Part II, AODA, and health and safety requirements, coordinating injury, STD, and LTD plans alongside return-to-work procedures. Collaborate with directors and supervisors to investigate issues, enforce company policies, and maintain accurate documentation for staff changes. Participate on the JHSC to ensure consistency in health and safety standards. This full-time role in Mississauga and Hamilton requires day-shift primary hours with flexibility for evening and night shifts to support operations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of strong experience in HR functions
- Must hold a CPHR/CHRP/CHRL certified or equivalent
- Educational background in Human Resources or Labour Relations
- Experience in the aviation, transportation or logistics work environment
- Strong investigation, negotiation and analytical skills
- Excellent knowledge of CLC Part II, AODA, Health and Safety and other related legislation
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to identify and implement high quality HR best practices
- Proven record for conflict resolution
- Familiar with HRIS Systems
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently in a fast paced environment
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft office Programs including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Capacity to work well under pressure with competing priorities in shift environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts based on operational requirements
- Must abstain from consuming Cannabis, in and outside of the workplace
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the aviation, transportation or logistics work environment is an asset
