Job Summary
Deliver math instruction and reinforce the NCCER Construction Curriculum while monitoring participant progress and providing targeted academic support. Maintain accurate daily attendance records, promote positive behavior and leadership skills, and ensure a safe, structured learning environment. Collaborate with program staff, supervisors, and educational partners to coordinate classroom and construction training activities, support data collection for grant compliance, and communicate regularly with participants and organizations. Participate in required staff meetings and conferences. Classroom-based instruction with occasional field experiences; Bachelor's degree in education or related field preferred; experience with opportunity youth and NCCER curriculum required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education, Mathematics, Construction Technology, or related field
- Teaching Credential
- Demonstrated ability to work well with Young Adults 18-24 years old
- Responsible, reliable, dependable, organized, and professional
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with opportunity youth, workforce development programs, or alternative education settings
- Knowledge of basic math instruction and construction-related curriculum
- Experience with NCCER curriculum
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
