Youth Worker

Job Summary
Youth Worker provides day-to-day direct care, mentorship, and support to Children and Young People in Residential Care environments. Responsibilities include completing case notes, planning daily activity and life-skill development (e.g., cooking, budgeting, shopping, cleaning), supporting youths to manage challenging behaviours, fostering independent living skills, engaging with community stakeholders, and promoting positive relationships with family and significant others. The role involves a mix of day shifts, sleepovers, awake duties, and weekends, with travel within Queensland to support activities. Mandatory requirements include a QLD Working with Children Blue Card, a full Australian Driver’s Licence, a Certificate IV or higher in Child Youth and Family Intervention or equivalent, a Licensed Care Suitability check (LCS2) or willingness to obtain, and ability to travel within Queensland. Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people are highly encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications
