Youth Worker

Job Summary
Youth Worker delivers day-to-day care to young people in residential care houses, providing direct support, care and mentorship to Children and Young People who may have experienced trauma or disability. Responsibilities include completing case notes, planning daily activity plans, teaching independent living skills (cooking, budgeting, shopping, cleaning), engaging with young people to build trust, serving as a positive adult role model, supporting community stakeholders and family involvement, and promoting life-skills development in a nurturing home environment. The role includes a mixture of day shifts (AM/PM), sleepovers, awake duties and weekends to suit availability, with travel within Queensland.
Required Qualifications
- QLD Working with Children (Blue Card)
- Full Australian Driver’s License
- Certificate IV or higher in Child Youth and Family Intervention or equivalent
- Licensed Care Suitability check (LCS2) or willing to obtain
