Job Summary
Youth Worker sought to support young people in MANAWISE Care’s residential homes across Redbank Plains, Raceview, Ripley, and Collingwood Park. You will create a safe, structured home environment, build positive relationships with young people, support emotional and life-skill development, and collaborate with a therapeutic care team to deliver tailored plans. Responsibilities include daily documentation and case notes; shift work including sleepovers and weekends; and contributing to ongoing training and professional development. Essential qualifications include youth work/child safety experience, an open-class Australian driver’s licence, a Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention (or working towards it), First Aid & CPR, Current Blue Card, National Police Check (within 6 months), LCS check eligibility, and Hope & Healing Module certification. Opportunities exist to transition from casual to permanent part-time as the organization expands.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in Youth Work, Child Safety, or a related field
- Current, unrestricted Australian Driver’s Licence (open class)
- Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention, or similar (or working towards it)
- First Aid & CPR certification
- Availability for shift work (including sleepovers & weekends)
- Current Paid Blue Card
- National Police Check (within 6 months)
- Ability to obtain LCS check
- Hope & Healing Module certificate (we can assist if needed)
