Job Summary
Officiate youth and adult league games and tournaments according to established rules and Park District policies, making quick, impartial decisions and communicating calls clearly to players, coaches, and spectators. Promote sportsmanship, manage conflicts professionally, and mentor less experienced officials while attending required training sessions. Work evenings and weekends based on program schedules, maintaining a professional appearance and adhering to all safety policies. Adapt to different recreation activities as assigned and perform other duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least thirteen (13) years old
- candidates under sixteen (16) must have a valid work permit
- Knowledge of rules for applicable sport(s)
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, participants, and spectators
- Work evenings and weekends based on program schedules
