Job Summary
Implement treatment plans and IEPs as directed by clinicians and teachers while providing one-on-one tutoring, small group instruction, and maintenance of student engagement in academic and social-emotional learning. Deliver a therapeutic balance of hierarchy and affiliation by demonstrating an understanding of children's emotional needs and implementing TCC procedures for both verbal and non-verbal behavior management. Assist with classroom management strategies alongside educational, clinical, and student engagement specialists to ensure positive behavior supports are implemented on a milieu and individual level. Maintain clean, safe, and therapeutic learning environments while adhering to Tennyson Center policies, regulatory standards, and best practices to advance quality improvement efforts.
Required Qualifications
- B.A. degree in Human Services/related field
- current Colorado driver's license
- eligibility to work in the United States
- Must demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States in compliance with federal law
- All persons hired will be required to verify their eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire
- Tennyson Center for Children currently does not sponsor work visas
- Must be able to successfully complete a pre-hire physical
