Job Summary
Plan and facilitate youth workshops and capacity-building activities for culturally and linguistically diverse young people. Provide academic tutoring, homework support, and study skills assistance while maintaining attendance records and completing Salesforce reporting. Support the delivery of youth events, camps, expos, and school holiday programs through direct engagement and networking with schools and community organizations. Build relationships with young people to empower their educational and career pathways, utilizing social media skills to enhance online engagement. This part-time, 12-month role based in Logan requires a tertiary qualification in Social Work, Youth Work, or related disciplines, along with a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification or currently studying Social Work, Youth Work, Psychology, Education, Public Health, Social Sciences or a related discipline
- Basic facilitation and group engagement skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to manage complex and challenging situations constructively
- Strong written and computer skills, including proficiency across Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent planning, organisation and time management skills
- Ability to demonstrate innovation and creativity in program delivery
- Ability to work collaboratively and contribute effectively within a team environment
- Holder of a valid Drivers Licence
- All employees will undergo a National Police Clearance and a Working with Children Check as a condition of employment
