Job Summary
Enthusiastic Youth Support Worker needed to support young people aged 10-25 with mild to moderate additional support needs through youth clubs, holiday schemes, supported volunteering and Community Buddies. Role involves facilitating activities (bowling, cinema, cooking challenges, outdoor activities), mentoring and delivering youth-work reflected by the interests and needs of diverse young people; requires driving license and ability to work with teams and independently; DBS check required; flexible evenings/weekends; part-time hours across term-time and school holidays; locations include Eastleigh, Winchester, Southampton and surrounding areas.
Required Qualifications
- Driving license and access to a car
- Ability to work with young people in a variety of settings
- Ability to develop a variety of youth work activities reflective of the young people’s interests, needs and aspirations.
- Good communication and drive to engage and empower young people.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Ability to empower and support other staff members to function successfully in a youth work environment.
