Job Summary

Lead daily lessons and activities for middle and high school students in afterschool and summer programs, implementing social-emotional learning, recreation, enrichment, academic, literacy, and college readiness curricula. Build deep relationships with students and families while guiding youth toward post-secondary success through life and job skills training. Develop strategies for effective homework assistance, help eligible youth apply for the Climb Higher scholarship, and collect accurate demographic and attendance data. Maintain a warm, inclusive environment that upholds Department of Children and Families licensure standards. Requires a Bachelor's degree or five years of related experience, DCF credential within the first year, and proficiency in English (Creole a plus).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive professional experience in a related field
  • Successful experience working directly with students K6-12
  • Completion of DCF School-Age Child Care Staff Credential
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Reliable transportation

Desired Qualifications

  • Creole language skills
