Youth Sports Instructor

Job Summary
Assist the Youth Sports Coordinator in developing, executing, and evaluating on-site and off-site camps, clinics, and youth engagement activities for the Toledo Walleye season. Lead participants through skill development, drills, and character-building components while facilitating skill stations to ensure an inclusive, supportive learning environment. Support planning and delivery of community-based events, including festivals and grassroots initiatives, by building relationships with parents, coaches, schools, and organizations. Foster a positive atmosphere that promotes good sportsmanship and increases baseball and hockey participation. This role requires a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays from October through April, with occasional lifting of items up to 50 pounds in all weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least a high school senior
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have excellent customer service and organizational skills
- Must possess analytic, strategic, communications, and interpersonal skills
- Must be willing to work long hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays throughout the position timeline (October-April)
- Occasionally lifting camp items and props as needed, weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, etc. for the duration of the shift
- Camp/game days will be outdoors in all types of weather conditions
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, and weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer to have prior coaching/playing/officiating background
