Job Summary
Plan, lead, and supervise youth and adult basketball and soccer practices, clinics, and games for National School District students in grades 2 through 6. Prepare sports fields and courts, including equipment setup and breakdown, while maintaining all equipment and ensuring a safe environment for participants. Serve as scorekeeper, track attendance, and provide continual instruction and supervision. Maintain positive relationships with staff, volunteers, parents, and participants while instilling YMCA values. Work Monday through Fridays from 2:15pm to 5:00pm with travel required.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- 6+ month's experience in organized youth and adult sports
- Physical ability to lead and interact in group activities and perform job related tasks
- Visual, physical, and auditory ability to act swiftly in emergency situations
- Fingerprinting prior to reporting to work and subsequent arrest notifications
- CPR/AED, and First Aid Certification including Adult and Child/Infant obtained within 30 days of hire from American Red Cross, American Heart Association, American Safety & Health Institute, or YMCA
