Job Summary
Youth Specialists will facilitate a safe and stable environment for youth residents experiencing homelessness by overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring their basic needs are met. The role includes building trusting relationships, serving as a role model, teaching independent living skills, and planning meals. Candidates should possess effective communication and conflict resolution skills, organizational abilities, and a high attention to detail. A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and experience with youth are required. The position offers flexible part-time shifts and competitive pay ranging from $15 to $19 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in relevant area of study (Social Work, Education, Sociology, Human Development, Public Health, etc.)
- Experience working with youth in public education or other community human service organizations
- Valid Missouri Driver's license
- Must be able to pass state and federal background screening
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with marginalized youth and/or families
- Skilled in public speaking and creating presentations and/or trainings
- Project management and/or program coordination experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, and other basic computer technologies
