Job Summary
Youth Specialist I provides care, supervision and behavioral interventions to youth in residential programs, developing coping and problem-solving and social skills and helping transfer these skills to home, school, and community. Interventions are designed within collaborative planning and prescribed by the program. Responsibilities include direct care, driving as part of crisis intervention, maintaining safety, and implementing Pro-ACT-related safety skills. Starting pay is $23-$26 per hour based on experience and education. Shift schedule includes Wednesday 11am-10pm, Thursday 1pm-10pm, Friday 1pm-9pm, and Saturday 9am-9pm. Requires Bachelor’s degree, 2+ years of direct care experience, valid CA driver’s license and auto insurance, and passing pre-employment background check, drug screen, and health screen. Travel is required; physical presence in the office during shift; equal opportunity employer; travel and licensing considerations noted.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Two or more years of direct care experience required
- Valid California driver’s license
- Acceptable driving record per agency policy
- Proof of auto insurance meeting minimum coverage requirements
