Job Summary
Manage groups of 5-10 children ages 2-8 through engaging, age-appropriate soccer sessions that build confidence and character. Introduce young athletes to the sport via fun, interactive, and developmentally appropriate activities while creating a positive learning environment. Communicate professionally with families, school staff, and leadership to ensure a supportive experience. Arrive on time and prepared for every session, representing Soccer Shots positively at preschools, childcare centers, and community locations throughout DuPage County. No prior coaching experience required; comprehensive paid training and certification provided.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Reliable transportation to locations throughout DuPage County
- Daily access to a smartphone and internet
- Ability to pass a background check, fingerprinting, and medical screening in accordance with DCFS requirements
- Ability to work weekday afternoons (approximately 2:30 PM - 6:30 PM)
- Arrive on time and prepared for every session
- Effectively manage groups of 5-10 children
- Communicate professionally with families, school staff, and Soccer Shots leadership
- Enjoy being active, enthusiastic, and encouraging
- Comfortable being silly, imaginative, and interactive with young children
- Create a fun and positive learning environment
- Friendly, approachable, and dependable
- Represents Soccer Shots positively at all locations
- Maintains a professional appearance and attitude
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with young children
- Teaching, coaching, childcare, camp counseling, or education experience
- Soccer experience
