Job Summary
Residential Support Specialist (RSS) part-time, On-Call Support Specialist for Youth Services in Portland, OR. Responsibilities include engaging residents to support goals, assisting with activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living (e.g., appointments, household tasks, hygiene, medication management), crisis intervention with nonviolent de-escalation, group activities and community engagement, meal preparation, documentation (shift notes, engagement notes, EMAR, incident reports), and ensuring safety and cleanliness of the house. Requires CPR certification and ability to pass a background check; QMHA credentials preferred. Roles may involve covering shifts within the Licensed Residential department if Youth Services shifts are insufficient. Must adhere to Oregon Administrative Rules for Home and Community Based mental health services; travel not specified. All openings are located in Portland, Oregon and surrounding metro areas. End-user focus on empowering residents, supporting autonomy, and ensuring safety and accountability in residential settings.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required
- CPR certification
- Ability to pass background check
- Must be 18 years of age
- Naloxone administration ability
- Comfortable working independently
