Job Summary

Teach daily living skills, social skills, and community involvement to children and youth with disabilities while assisting with personal care tasks as needed. Facilitate inclusion through planned activities, social interactions, and advocacy, then document all individual services provided daily in the required format. Transport and accompany individuals to community activities using a reliable vehicle, maintaining open communication with participants, families, and supervisors. Work flexible evenings and weekends with a valid driver's license and WI caregiver background check.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year work experience with individuals and/or children with disabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge in the modifications, adaptation, and use of specialized equipment
  • General knowledge of computer uses and programs
  • Demonstrated ability to teach others
  • Ability to maintain open, respectful, and clear communication with the participant, their families, and supervisor
  • Must pass WI caregiver background check
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to work flexible/non-standard schedule (including some evenings and weekends)
  • Must meet all necessary training requirements

Desired Qualifications

  • Reliable vehicle (unless determined exempt with HR.)
