Job Summary
Youth Security Specialist II provides residential care, custody and supervision of adolescent males at a 24-hour state facility (Lincoln Regional Center - Whitehall). Responsibilities include supervising youths in work and recreational activities, implementing safety protocols, conducting safety checks and contraband searches, coordinating with treatment planning sessions, contributing to crisis response and emergency procedures, documenting daily behavior and progress, and supporting rehabilitative treatment practices; requires applying facility policies and maintaining a safe, structured environment within the Behavioral Health Division. Qualifications emphasize a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred coursework in social work, criminal justice, psychology or related fields, and experience in youth care or related areas. Ability to work rotating shifts and to attend mandatory orientation, as well as possessing a valid driver’s license, are noted.”,
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Must be able to attend one (1) week of New Employee Orientation
- Must be able to work a shift assignment which includes weekends, holidays, and mandatory overtime
