Job Summary
As Youth Residential Nurse, provide direct patient care to youth at Idaho Youth Ranch’s 64-bed residential psychiatric treatment facility. Responsibilities include monitoring visits, conducting admission and weekly health assessments, overseeing and executing medication administration per psychiatry protocols, triage of emergencies or urgent situations, and ensuring appropriate level of care. The role supports trauma-informed, youth-guided and family-driven behavioral health practices within a 4/10 shift (10pm–8am) as part of opening the Residential Center for Healing and Resilience on the Hands of Promise Campus in Caldwell, Idaho. The position contributes to direct care within a non-profit setting and participates in maintaining EHR documentation and care coordination for youth health and safety. Preferred additional qualifications include one year of psychiatric inpatient experience and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Required Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age
- Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Idaho
- Must have valid, state-issued driver’s license or obtain one within 15 days of hire
- Knowledge of computer and EHR systems
