Job Summary
Program Leader handles daily after-school activities, greets students, leads homework help and enrichment activities, organizes clubs (career readiness, cooking, anime, dance), and ensures a safe, engaging learning environment. Responsibilities include supervising students, managing group dynamics, participating in indoor/outdoor activities, and adapting activities to diverse interests. Requires experience in after-school programs, ability to communicate with kids and parents, required TB test and Live Scan, and baseline vaccination documentation; part-time schedule (2pm–6pm) with a daily attendance routine and commute to the Los Angeles site. Bilingual English-Spanish is advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year of experience working in after-school programs or youth recreation, especially in ethnically and culturally diverse communities.
- College transcripts showing 48+ college credit units completed OR take and pass an academic proficiency exam.
- TB test (negative) and Live Scan background check.
- Ability to commute to the school site.
- English-Spanish bilingual ability is a plus.
