Job Summary
Program Leaders at Arc Experience implement engaging after-school programs to support students through social-emotional learning, homework help, and enrichment activities. Responsibilities include greeting students, organizing and leading activities, supervising indoor/outdoor programs, creating clubs (e.g., career readiness, cooking, anime, dance), and ensuring a safe, inclusive environment. The role requires strong communication with kids and parents, the ability to adapt activities to diverse needs, and coordination with the Site Coordinator. Qualifications include at least one year of relevant experience, 48+ college credits or equivalent proficiency exam, TB test with negative result, Live Scan background check, and vaccination documentation if required. English-Spanish bilinguals are encouraged. The position is part-time, with an afternoon shift (2pm–6pm, Monday–Friday) and reliable commute to the school site.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year of experience working in after-school programs or youth recreation, especially in ethnically and culturally diverse communities
- Ability to communicate well with kids and parents
- College transcripts showing 48+ college credit units completed OR be able to take and pass an academic proficiency exam
- TB test and proof of negative result; Live Scan background check
- English-Spanish bilingual ability is a plus
- Covid-19 vaccination documentation if required by the school site
