Job Summary
Youth Program Instructor at Rock Spot Climbing responsible for providing excellent customer service to young students and their families by running weekly classes and special programming. Teach high-quality instruction in a small group setting, manage class flow, implement and monitor lesson plans and curriculum, and adapt lessons to individual needs. Maintain a safe, positive, and productive learning atmosphere for a 10-week session; interact professionally with students and parents; work as part of a team and perform floor staff functions; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; evening/night and weekend availability. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to acquire) required.
Required Qualifications
- CPR and First Aid (or willing to acquire)
- Previous indoor rock climbing and belaying experience
- Experience teaching/coaching a hands on skill or sport
- Experience working with youth of all ages
- Experience creating or implementing lesson plans
- Ability to work nights/weekends
- Professional communication with students and parents
- Detail oriented and organized
- Punctual and reliable
