Job Summary
Develop, organize, and lead Salvation Army Youth Programs and After School programs, focusing on fellowship, worship, tutoring, and community engagement for young people. Responsibilities include recruiting and organizing volunteers, coordinating logistics with local schools, maintaining program calendars, and ensuring compliance with The Salvation Army policies. Requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work with diverse groups, and a passion for youth development consistent with Christian values.
Required Qualifications
- Two years’ experience working with children in a Corps/Church setting
- 2 year college degree in Youth Ministries or Christian Education
- Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes
- Ability to compose and type emails and letters
- Ability to operate office equipment
- Demonstrated ability to relate to and work with young persons from diverse backgrounds
- Valid Nevada Drivers’ license and insured transportation
- Current First Aid & CPR certification
- Must receive training and certification for The Salvation Army Protect the Mission and Child Safety policies
- Pass a background check
Desired Qualifications
- Instructor certification for First Aid & CPR preferred
- Experience in Youth Ministries or Christian Education
