Job Summary
Part-time Youth Program Assistant supports UUCLB's Religious Education program for children, youth, and families. Assists teachers in Sunday morning classroom sessions, facilitates weekly registration and attendance, coordinates weekly staffing (nursery, teaching teams), and collaborates with the RE Committee to organize program needs. Responsibilities also include setting up/tearing down classrooms and program signs, procuring snacks and supplies, organizing the Religious Education office and materials, assisting with holidays and events, aiding with safety protocols, and performing clerical duties as requested by the supervisor. Requires an affinity for working with diverse ages and families, strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency with Google Drive, Canva, Constant Contact, online databases, and social media; experience with neurodiversity, autism, and behavioral support for learning disabilities is valued.
Required Qualifications
- Affinity for working with children and youth of all ages and their parents/guardians/caregivers
- Commitment to safety and following church policies
- Experience or knowledge of working with children and youth with neurodiversity, autism, and behavioral support for learning disabilities
- Ability to use multiple technologies (Google drive, Canva, Constant Contact, online database and social media)
