Job Summary
Youth Peer Support Specialist provides peer mentoring, counseling, and advocacy to youth in crisis within the MRSS program. Under supervision, responsibilities include mentoring during risk assessments, supporting youth to achieve stability and transition to appropriate services, and maintaining thorough documentation from intake through discharge. Requires lived youth experience, 18-24 age, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver's license. Travel to client locations is required; office-based work locations include Lewes or Wilmington, DE.
Required Qualifications
- Lived experience as a youth who experienced support due to behavioral health needs
- Young Adult ages 18-24 years old
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
