Job Summary
Conduct intensive, trauma-informed outreach support to young people and families experiencing homelessness or housing instability in the Bundaberg region. Build trusted relationships to help individuals secure safe housing, reconnect with education or employment, and access health services. Advocate for clients to ensure their voices are heard and coordinate practical, person-centred support with families, community organisations, and health providers. Deliver flexible outreach services using a strengths-based approach to help young people overcome barriers and build long-term stability.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Community Services, Youth Work or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum two years' experience in case management or supporting people with complex needs
- Current Queensland Driver Licence
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to travel throughout the Bundaberg region

- Strong case management skills with the ability to build meaningful, trusting relationships
- A strengths-based, trauma-informed and person-centred approach to practice
- Confidence working independently in community and outreach settings
- Excellent communication, advocacy and problem-solving skills
- The ability to respond calmly and professionally in complex and changing situations
- A commitment to culturally safe, inclusive practice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse communities and LGBTQIA+ young people
