Job Summary
Plans, coordinates, and leads parish youth ministry operations including youth gatherings, small groups, social events, service opportunities, retreats, conferences, youth worship opportunities, and other approved initiatives. Collaborates with staff and volunteers to implement catechetical content and curriculum, presents Catholic faith to youth, maintains regular communication with parents and parish staff, coordinates sacramental preparation (especially Confirmation and teen-appropriate initiation), designs and leads retreats and events, recruits/trains/supervises volunteers, manages logistics (scheduling, calendars, facilities, transportation, publicity), and supports fundraising and awareness campaigns. Directs programs in alignment with Archdiocesan norms, recruits/trains volunteers, maintains records, manages budgets, participates in staff formation, and performs other duties as assigned. Salary determined based on internal equity and experience; benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, life, disability, pension, retirement plans, HSA/FSA, and generous leave.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in youth ministry preferred
- Safe Environment training/compliant
- Ability to coordinate, train, and supervise volunteers
- Experience planning and executing youth-focused events and programs
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with clergy and school/university entities
