Job Summary
The Youth Mentor is responsible for providing vocational rehabilitation and job coaching services, ensuring accurate documentation and communication regarding client progress. This role involves job coaching, tutoring, evaluating work sites for suitability, and assisting clients in developing employment opportunities. The mentor must have two years of teaching/training experience, proficiency in computer use, and a valid driver’s license. CPR/First Aid certification is required within 90 days of employment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED equivalent required
- Two years teaching/training experience required
- CPR/First Aid Certification required within 90 days of employment
- Proficient in Microsoft Word
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Proof of personal auto insurance policy
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or teaching/training experience preferred
- Experience in vocational rehabilitation services
