Youth Mentor - Before / After School Enrichment

Youth Mentor for Before / After School Enrichment at the Greater Philadelphia YMCA. Responsible for planning and implementing curriculum for a child-centered program, using developmentally appropriate learning experiences and positive behavior management. Conduct weekly child observations and document progress, maintain attendance and emergency contact records, and ensure centers are stocked with appropriate learning materials. Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding children’s experiences, progress, and any concerns. Participate in team planning meetings, support outreach to donors and volunteers, and assist with annual fundraising efforts. Requires a degree in education or human services, 2+ years of verified child care experience (2500 hours), ability to obtain and maintain required clearances, and a passion for engaging children in diverse environments. Specific site assignment will be determined during interview; remote work is not indicated for this role.
