Job Summary
Youth Mentor & Activity Specialist provides supervision and safety for middle school students, leads at least 11 monthly activities across academic, recreational, and social-emotional domains, facilitates programs, maintains organized spaces, assists with hygiene, communicates with families, upholds program policies, and supports student and family needs. Responsibilities include supervising students, planning and delivering activities, providing safe transportation to off-site activities, tracking attendance and participation, and modeling a positive, confidential, developmentally appropriate environment. Requires a high school diploma and a valid driver’s license; prior youth-work experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or state education requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Experience working with youth preferred but not required
- Ability to supervise and engage middle school students
- Ability to plan and lead activities (11 per month)
- Strong communication and behavior-support skills
