Job Summary
Youth Mental Health Worker provides evidence-informed mental health interventions and addiction/harm reduction supports to youth aged 12-25 within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include delivering CBT/DBT/Motivational Interviewing approaches, conducting screenings/assessments, crisis intervention, case management, documentation, quality improvement participation, and collaboration with community partners. The role emphasizes culturally safe, trauma-informed care, and supports youth with diverse identities (e.g., gender-diverse, LGBTQI) and learning needs. Educational requirements include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field with postgraduate certification in Addictions and Mental Health; Ontario registration is an asset. The position is based in Haliburton, Ontario, and is full-time. The wage range is $30.95 to $32.38 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field; postgraduate certificate in Addictions and Mental Health or equivalent experience; current registration with relevant Ontario professional body (OCSWSSW) is asset; training in privacy/data management; WHMIS 2015; IPAC; AODA; ASIST; OCAN; First Aid/CPR; reliable home internet and remote-work capability; valid G driver's license; ability to work evenings/weekends; French proficiency preferred (intermediate to advanced)
