Job Summary
Youth Leader duties include supervising program participants and assisting in planning, development, and implementation of after-school activities. Lead age-appropriate learning experiences in classroom or group settings, ensure a safe, enriching, and healthy environment, and facilitate programs that promote positive youth development. Maintain participant records, communicate with parents and DOE/DHS contacts, participate in meetings and training, uphold YMCA core values (Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility), and assist Site Coordinators in daily operations across assigned elementary locations in Hawaii. Must be reliable, able to work a flexible part-time schedule, and demonstrate mature judgment and effective written and oral communication.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years old and a high school graduate or equivalent are required.
