Job Summary
Actively supervise program participants, ensuring their guidance and safety at all times while planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that engage students in academic support and enrichment. Collaborate with school personnel, families, and community partners to align high-quality programs that promote diversity, equity, and student leadership. Provide positive behavior guidance addressing developmental, social-emotional, and physical needs, while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment. Respond to critical incidents and lead activities such as sports, games, and assemblies. Maintain visual and auditory ability to act in emergencies and ensure program compliance with ASES/21st CCLC grants and district requirements. Available M-F 1:30pm–6pm with seasonal increases up to 39 hours per week; must continue into the new school year.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma/GED
- Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents
- Physical ability to act in an emergency situation
- Physical ability to lead activities such as sports, games, academic assistance, assemblies, transitions, and other program activities
- Fingerprinting prior to reporting to work
- Negative TB assessment or test results obtained within the past 60 days
- CPR/AED, and First Aid Certification including Adult and Child/Infant obtained within 30 days of hire from American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or American Safety & Health Institute
- 48 college credits at an institution of higher education
- AA/AS degree
- Passing score on district's Classroom Assistant/Instructional Aide proficiency exam
