Job Summary
Actively supervise program participants, ensuring their guidance and safety at all times while leading sports, games, and curriculum activities. Plan, manage, and implement age-appropriate program activities that engage students in active and meaningful experiences, collaborating with school personnel and community partners to align high-quality academic services. Provide positive behavior guidance supporting developmental, social-emotional, and physical needs, while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment. Communicate professionally with families and district staff to promote diversity, equity, and student achievement. Work Mon-Thu 1:30pm-6pm and Fri 1pm-6pm. Requires high school diploma, relevant district qualifications, and certifications including CPR/AED, First Aid, and child abuse prevention training.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- high school diploma/GED
- minimum qualifications for a highly qualified Classroom Assistant/Instructional Aide in the district in which the assigned school operates
- AA/AS degree, 48 college units or passing score on district's Classroom Assistant/Instructional Aide proficiency exam
- Fingerprint clearance from DOJ/FBI
- TB test clearance within 60 days prior to employment or prior to working on a school site
- Completion of Child Abuse Prevention training prior to working with program participants
- CPR/AED, and First Aid Certification, must include Adult and Child/Infant, obtained within 30 days of hire
- CPR/AED certification from American Red Cross
- CPR/AED certification from American Heart Association
- CPR/AED certification from American Safety & Health Institute
