Job Summary
Youth Inspector for Synar Compliance Program in Roseville, MI (temporary June 1–30, 2026). Inspections of outlets selling tobacco/vape products under CARE supervision, scheduling visits with CARE staff, and completing required documentation in accordance with funding source standards and CARE policies. Must participate in Synar Training, follow safety protocols, and be comfortable conducting purchase attempts with supervision. Requires age 16–20, parental permission if under 18, and possession of a Michigan ID or driver license. Training and equal opportunity employment emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- Must be between ages 16 and 20 at time of checks
- Parental/guardian permission if under 18
- Completion of Synar Training
- Must complete training and demonstrate understanding of health issues related to tobacco use
- Have a valid Michigan state ID or valid motor vehicle license
- Must be able to drive with CARE staff
- Must be available to schedule dates/times during June 1, 2026 – June 30, 2026
- Completion of training and understanding of safety protocols for compliance checks
