Job Summary
Provide housing and support to youth in a housing setting, serving as the primary day contact for youth, supporting to settle, manage stressors and potential crises, and helping clients focus on daily goals within a holistic wraparound care team. Position emphasizes working with at-risk youth involved with MCFD, in a 10-hour shift schedule (1:30pm–11:30pm) and requires a relevant bachelor’s degree (Social Work or Child & Youth Care) plus 1-2 years of experience with vulnerable populations; ASIST/NVCI training are assets. Responsibilities include facilitating programming, supporting mental health, life skills, community supports, and adherence to organizational policies, with duties potentially relocated temporarily as needed and requiring Emergency First Aid, Food Safe, immunization records, and Criminal Record Check.
Required Qualifications
- A relevant bachelor's degree, such as Social Work or Child & Youth Care
- Minimum of 1-2 years' experience working with vulnerable populations and at-risk youth
- Experience facilitating programming is an asset
- ASIST training and NVCI training is an asset
