Job Summary
Provide direct supervision and support to students throughout the school day, implementing interventions from each client's Person-Centered Plan. Assist youth in developing coping, social, and independent living skills while supporting achievement of IEP and academic goals. Deliver skill-building activities focused on daily living, socialization, and community functioning, and complete required documentation accurately. Perform NCI-compliant physical interventions only when necessary after exhausting less restrictive options. Follow all Youth Haven Services and school policies, procedures, and professional standards while maintaining appropriate classroom behavior. Work under the supervision of a Qualified Professional in a school-based setting serving children with behavioral and mental health needs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 0–1 years of related experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of community resources
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Sound judgment and professional decision-making
- Strong relationship-building skills with youth, families, and team members
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems
- Ability to take direction while demonstrating initiative and professionalism
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field
- AP-qualified Bachelor's degree
- Experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with behavioral health needs
