Job Summary
Youth Engagement Specialist supports housing, health and wellness, education and employment goals for youth by delivering strength-based, trauma-informed case management, crisis intervention, and group activities. Responsibilities include engaging with youth (ages 18-24, including those experiencing homelessness), conducting assessments, developing and updating Success Plans, coordinating services with CHNJ and community agencies, documenting in HMIS/ETO, facilitating educational and group activities, and providing ongoing coaching and referrals. The role requires excellent communication, organization, collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team, and availability Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–3:00 PM with occasional front-desk coverage; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred, Spanish bilingual ability is preferred, and a valid NJ driver’s license is required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, Sociology, Social Work or related field preferred
- Must have a valid NJ driver’s license and good driving record
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required
